2027 Chevrolet
Bolt

Despite its undeniable success as an affordable small EV with good range, the Bolt was dropped from Chevy’s lineup as they focused on perfecting the Ultium platform. But the Bolt had plenty of fans – with some high-ranking GM employees among them – and they spoke up about their desire for the model to return. That wish has come true in the form of the 2027 Bolt, which has been improved in some significant ways. The restyling isn’t extensive, but the interior has been made more modern and user-friendly, and the RS looks a little sportier. What Bolt buyers will really appreciate, though, is the inclusion of a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port for the first time in a Chevrolet EV, opening up a wider network of stations. Better still, the ’27 Bolt charges 250 percent faster and achieves a bit more range.

Bolt LT (Base Trim)

Since the Bolt’s lineup is a mere two trims, the LT is more extensively equipped than a typical base trim. It gets remote start, proximity keyless entry, automatic climate control, a cabin air filter, and automatic-on/off headlights. Some other main features of the interior are fabric upholstery, an 11-inch driver information display, a flat-bottomed steering wheel with a tilt/telescopic column, and four USB ports (two per row). The exterior shows off heated power-adjustable side mirrors, intermittent front and rear wipers, and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

The all-important infotainment system is housed within an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in and advanced voice recognition. It also has 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to OnStar and connected services.

The safety technology array consists of a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic braking, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, side bicycle alert, reverse automatic braking, GM’s Safety Alert Seat, and rear parking sensors. Also standard are a rearview camera, a set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and traction control.

Chevrolet offers a number of optional packages for the Bolt LT, including the Evotex Package, Comfort Package, Dual-Panel Sunroof Package, Technology Package, and Super Cruise Package with hands-free driving assistance.

2027 Chevy Bolt RS Trim

Bolt RS

The more loaded version of the Bolt, the RS, gets most of the LT’s optional items as standard equipment, namely Evotex upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats. It also gets an eight-way power driver’s seat, a heated and wrapped steering wheel, special exterior treatments, roof rails, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a rear center armrest, and ambient interior lighting with configurable colors. Its main options consist of the Super Cruise Package, the Technology Package, and various charging accessories.

Why Choose the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt?

The return of the Chevrolet Bolt brings back everything drivers loved—affordability, efficiency, and everyday usability—while adding faster charging, improved range, and modern tech. With its updated design, enhanced interior, and access to an expanded charging network, the 2027 Bolt is a smart choice for drivers ready to make the switch to electric without compromise.
