2026 Chevrolet
Silverado 1500

As the undisputed king of the full-sized pickup world, the Chevy Silverado 1500 just keeps doing things the right way. This icon in the full-sized truck segment leads its segment in standard torque (TurboMax engine) and highway fuel economy (Duramax diesel engine) alongside significantly high towing and payload limits. No matter what a given Silverado buyer needs, there’s a standard equipment package that fits, with eight trim levels plus the super-tough and capable Bison Edition for the ZR2. Chevrolet presents a choice of five cab/bed configurations and four powerplants for varying degrees of horsepower and fuel efficiency, with availability dependent on the chosen trim.

Silverado 1500 WT/Work Truck
(Base Trim)

WT stands for Work Truck, and that’s what most buyers of this base trim use it for. While attributes such as vinyl upholstery and a single climate-control zone make it appear basic, it’s stuffed with equipment to facilitate five days a week of labor. Its bed has a locking tailgate and 12 cargo tie-downs, with a CornerStep rear bumper to help you reach the contents and cab-mounted cargo lights (LED on crew and double cab versions, incandescent with the regular cab) to illuminate the bed space. The interior features list is rounded out with a six-gauge analog instrument cluster, a 3.6-inch digital driver information display, a manual day/night rearview mirror, push-button start, two USB ports, and a 12V auxiliary outlet. On the outside, it has halogen reflector headlights and daytime running lights, incandescent taillights, front recovery hooks, and 17-inch Ultra Silver-painted steel wheels; remote keyless entry gets you in with ease.

The Chevy Safety Assist Package comes standard on the WT, equipping it with forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control, buckle-to-drive technology, a rear seat reminder, and an HD rear-view camera. GM’s Teen Driver technology is installed as well to help young operators form good on-road habits.

Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 System comes through a 7-inch touchscreen, with wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and a six-speaker sound system. The OnStar Basics package is supplied, offering remote commands, real-time navigation and traffic updates, voice assistance, and automatic crash response. Those who want more equipment on their WT can add optional packages at the time of ordering. The Work Truck Package contains skid plates and a high-capacity air filter, while the Trailering Package supplies a factory hitch and the Snow Plow Prep Package includes heavy-duty front springs, a 220-amp alternator, and a power feed for the roof light). Additional driver-assist technologies (front and rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert braking, trailer side blind-zone alert) can be elected as well.

2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom Trim

Silverado 1500 Custom

This trim leans toward the utilitarian side, but with additional comforts such as remote start, fabric upholstery, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. Heated power side mirrors and IntelliBeam automatic high-beams increase the convenience factor, as does the power lock/release tailgate with EZ Lift assist. The Trailering Package comes standard, and the trim’s exterior look is ramped up with 20-inch aluminum wheels painted bright silver. Occupants can plug in to four USB ports (two front and two rear) and two 120V three-prong power outlets (one each in the cabin and truck bed). SiriusXM satellite radio augments the infotainment array. The Custom is eligible for the Rally Edition appearance package.

Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss

Those who like the Custom’s equipment list but want to dabble in trail driving should go for the Custom Trail Boss. It receives a ZR1 suspension with Rancho monotube shocks and a 2-inch factory lift, plus 18-inch aluminum wheels with high-gloss black paint. This trim is eligible for a handful of appearance packages for buyers who desire a slightly different look.

2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trim

Silverado 1500 LT

The LT takes a turn toward luxury with cold-weather comfort items – heated front seats and a heated steering wheel – plus keyless start and two zones of automatic climate control. Other upgrades for this mid-grade Silverado include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, chrome bumpers, and LED reflector headlights and daytime running lights. The infotainment system is significantly improved with Google built-in, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, and voice activation. Rear pedestrian alert is an option for expanding the safety technology array. The LT’s most intriguing optional bundle is the Convenience Package II (Bose audio, universal home remote, rear sliding power window, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, trailer brake controller, and Trailering App).

Silverado 1500 RST

The RST takes the LT’s attributes higher with the addition of LED fog lights, taillights, and bed-mounted cargo lighting. A 10-way power front passenger seat with lumbar support, a power-tilt/telescoping steering column, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bose audio (with seven speakers and a Richbass subwoofer), and wireless smartphone charging contribute to the plushness. The center console gains two additional USB ports, bringing this truck’s total to six. On the exterior, it shows off chrome details, a power tailgate, 20-inch silver wheels, high-intensity LED reflector headlights, and LED curtain daytime running lights, and heated power-folding side mirrors with auto-dimming (driver’s side), position memory, and puddle lamps.

The driver-assist suite grows considerably with HD surround vision plus front and rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert braking, trailer side blind-zone alert, and rear pedestrian alert. GM’s safety alert seat, which vibrates in conjunction with certain safety-related notifications, is added as well, and the vehicle is also set up with trailer camera provisions.
