The slick-looking Blazer shows off design elements inspired by Chevy’s storied muscle car, the Camaro. The trim range is a tad different this year, as the Premier grade has been dropped from the lineup, leaving the 2LT, 3LT, and RS. Every trim comes with the standard 2.0-liter (228 hp) powertrain, but the RS is eligible to upgrade to a 308-hp V6.
Chevy adds upscale touches to the 3LT, which include standard rooftop side rails, perforated leather upholstery, a six-way power front passenger seat, a power liftgate, heated power side mirrors with auto-dimming and integrated turn signals, and a wrapped steering wheel. The optional Sound & Technology Package contains adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, connected navigation, eight-speaker Bose audio, HD Surround Vision, a digital rearview mirror, and wireless device charging.
The Blazer reaches its peak with the top-tier RS, which is eligible for the 308-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and gets several upgrades beyond the 3LT. The list starts with a heated steering wheel, a hands-free liftgate, an 8-inch driver information display, wireless device charging, a 120-volt outlet, and ambient cabin lighting. The infotainment system is enhanced with connected navigation and an eight-speaker Bose audio system, and the trim’s exclusive exterior styling is highlighted by striking 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The major options for the RS consist of the Enhanced Convenience Package (heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a driver’s memory system, and a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column) and the Driver Confidence II Package (HD Surround Vision, Safety Alert Seat, adaptive cruise control, digital rearview mirror, and enhanced automatic emergency braking).
